Gator Base is a lightweight polypropylene panel that replaces about 6 in. of compacted crushed stone base under pedestrian hardscapes. It is used under patios, walkways, pool surrounds, fire pits and seating walls up to 18 in. high, with concrete pavers, natural or wet cast stone, or porcelain. Panels lock together with a tongue-and-groove system, drain through built-in channels, and go down over geotextile and about 3/4 in. of compacted sand or No. 9 stone.
